Are there any guidelines for planning a photo shoot

         Yes,  you can find guidelines on our Photography page to answer questions on how much time to allow for different styles of shoots and what persons being photographed should wear.  Once you've  read  through our guidelines please feel free to contact us for any additional questions you might have.

Where is Photographic Services located

         We are located at 607 Nez Perce in the GAS House (Graduate Art Studios).  If walking from on campus from the Administration Building follow campus drive toward Blake Avenue.  After passing by the Niccolls Building (the first building on your right) turn right and go around it.  We are located behind Niccolls.  If arriving from off campus we are near the corner of Blake Ave. and Nez Perce.  We are just up street from Ridenbaugh Hall (which is on the corner of Blake Ave and Nez Perce) and across the street from the Office of Development.

       The parking lot in front of Photographic Services has 15 minute parking spaces available during the summer and winter breaks.  Due to day care in the Niccolls Building during the fall and spring semesters there is only one 15 minute space available at certain times of the day.  Beware of parking in the day care spaces during this time as tickets are very expensive.  Dropping off artwork or other large items is best when parking is not restricted for day care.  There is also metered parking available on Nez Perce for those you might by staying longer than 15 minutes.

I've called stopped by your office and no one was there, what do I do if I need immediate assistance?

       Due to staff limitations sometimes we may out of the office on a Photo Shoot or for other reasons.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  If you do not need immediate assistance please call us at 885-6342 and leave a message on our voice mail.  We will return your call as soon as possible.  If you do need immediate assistance please call Creative Services and Print Management at 885-6293.

I am not satisfied with my order and want a remake?

          If our work does not meet your expectations, please bring this to our attention immediately and we will make every effort to correct the problem. All remakes should be returned within two weeks, accompanied by the original work order.

       Use the Client Images link in the Image Database portion of our website. You can get there by clicking here.  Look for the secure symbol .

I've forgot my username and password to view my images online?

       We do not send passwords through e-mail.  If you have forgotten your password please call us at 885-6342 and we will give it to you over the phone.  Your username is the same as your UI AD account.  

I've viewed my proofs/samples and want to place an order, what is the best way to do this?

       You can order images in three ways, from the web site using the online order form, sending use the information by e-mail, or over the phone.       

       Web Site: You can order a single or multiple images from the web site that contains your images. Single images can be ordered from the 'View/Order' page by filling out the order form and clicking submit at the bottom of the page.  Multiple images can be ordered by saving your selected images to your 'Saved Images' by clicking 'save' under the images you want.  Then select the 'Order All' link in the Saved Images portion of the web site at the bottom of the page.  Fill out the form for each image on the 'Order all' page and click submit.  We will contact you about your order if there are any further questions. 

       e-mail:  Send us the image number(s) of the image(s) you would like and any other information necessary to complete your order by e-mail to photo@uidaho.edu.

       Phone: To place your order over the phone please call us at 885-6342.

Does Photo Services provide help with Special Projects and Consultations?

         Yes! We provide guidance and advice for students, staff, and faculty involved in activities such as thesis and journal publication, slide shows, production of departmental promotional materials, or anything else requiring photographic work.  We have available many specialized materials, and can advise on sources for the purchase of photographic equipment of all types.
